New York White Pride

White pride is all good. I have no issue with white pride. It's just like black pride, Asian Pride and all the other types of pride, but just with white people. However, writing baseless statements to discredit other people (Barack Obama in this case) does get my goat on occasion. And this just happens to be one of those occasions. It all started when I was looking for a picture of tribal African people...

I think you will remember that very picture of the Mursi people of Ethiopia from my article on Accra. Strangely enough I found it on the "New York White Pride" website. So, I decided to find out what a website about white pride would be doing with a picture of tribal Africans. It so happens that the person who wrote this article thought they were in fact Kenyans. "Simple mistake" you may be thinking "black people all look the same anyway right?" .

Well, I decided to read the article, and was really not impressed with what they were implying. They were basically saying that Obama, the current Democratic candidate was of Muslim descent and had close ties with Odinga the leader of the opposition in Kenya, a Marxist, which would bring instability to the United States if he was elected Leader of the United states. Even if this was true, George Bush, the current President does not boast to have such affiliations but has done more damage to the country and the world, than many of the other leaders. Anyway, back to the article. I'll leave you guys to read through it:

"Obama's Church and Militant Muslim Marxist Brother (Kenya / U.S. Policy)

The Following is from an IBD Editorial Regarding Barack Obama's Radical Church & How African Tribal Loyalties Have Already Impacted His "Kenya Policy"

In the bloody conflict there, which already has claimed some 700 lives, Obama appears to have sided with opposition leader Raila Odinga, head of the same Luo tribe to which Obama's late Muslim father belonged.

Obama's older brother still lives there. Abongo "Roy" Obama is a Luo activist and a militant Muslim who argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture." He urges his younger brother to embrace his African heritage.

Beyond family politics, these ties have potential foreign policy, even national security, implications.

Odinga is a Marxist who reportedly has made a pact with a hard-line Islamic group in Kenya to establish Shariah courts throughout the country. He has also vowed to ban booze and pork and impose Muslim dress codes on women — moves favored by Obama's brother.

With al-Qaida strengthening its beachheads in Africa — from Algeria to Sudan to Somalia — the last thing the West needs is for pro-Western Kenya to fall into the hands of Islamic extremists.

Yet Obama interrupted his New Hampshire campaigning to speak by phone with Odinga, who claims to be his cousin. He did not speak with Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki.

Would Obama put African tribal or family interests ahead of U.S. interests?"

This is a link to the article just in case you want to read it first(ish) hand. I would prefer not to provide a link, but for the sake of professionalism, and courtesy I have. The article was lifted from another one on IBD Editorials, which they did indeed state, (well done them), but they have only included the last part. They did however highlight some of the words in red for added emphasis, nice touch. They also provide a source link, so I checked it out, found a world of issues (excuse the pun) and decided to respond.

"Dear Mr NY White Pride,

I don't have any issue with this website promoting white pride, as Pride for all races is a good thing. I do however, have issue with the content of the article, which you have merely lifted off the IBD Editorial. The IBD article's authenticity is dubious, as not only is the author reluctant to leave any sources whatsoever to back his arguments, but he is also reluctant to leave his own name, a sign that he doesn't even want to claim it as his own. It would be best to investigate the origins of the article before using it for your own cause of White Pride as you seem to have done. Going back to your article, of which you did cite a few other sources, one of them, the News24.com source, contradicts the previous by stating that "Obama grew up without any particular religious beliefs. His mother was not religious, and his father was an atheist.". Lastly, I am assuming that you chose to put the picture of the tribal african people for extra effect, to symbolize somehow, Obama's tribal connections. I would like to point out that the picture is in fact of an Ethiopian tribe, which you would have noticed upon reading the URL for the picture, and not Kenyan, like Obama.

My last message is for Rastaman. You confuse me. You not only seem to be against Obama, which is fair enough, but also against Africa "You can take the person out of Africa, but you can't take the African out of the person." Yet, you call yourself Rastaman, which makes me think you have some kind of black affiliation. Your website also seems to have some sort of focus on Islam, I am not sure whether it is for or against. What seems to be going on here?"

I wrote this on their blogger "leave a message/comment thing", and apparently I have to wait for them to approve my message before it shows as a comment. Would be interesting to see if they do. It's Mr Rastaman that cracked me up the most though. This is what he said (for those people who can't be bothered to go to the NYWP website and see):

"Obama is one guy where it's true that you can take a person out of Africa but you can't take Africa out of the person. Between his Black Supremacist church and his considerable Islamist affiliations, he's the very last person any of us would want to see in the White House.
I've been blogging about him and his church steadily for the past several days. There's a great deal of info on his religious conviction when you look for it.
Keep up the good work. It all helps.
Rastaman"

I would love to hear what his issue is. Let's see where this goes.

Rant over, for now.

I'd just like to add, that I have no affiliation with Barack Obama. I'm not American, and therefore cannot vote. He seems a nice guy and I'm sure he would bring much needed "change" to the United States if he made it through. My interest in him goes thus far.

Good observation, I guess this comment is more for my other article on Accra in
Southern Ghana. Your linked picture was taken in Northern Ghana, as it says in
the link. So when did you go to Ghana?

Also, as I'm keeping your comment on
my blog, it would only be fair to put my comment on yours don't you
think?

Thanks for dropping by.
