Poking around the internet today, I started to wonder, "Exactly how many websites are out there on the internet?" At that moment I started to hope that someone had been keeping count. To my joy, after a bit more poking and searching, I managed to find out that someone had, Netcraft, and they had the number at around 160million, which then this got me thinking about lots of other stuff, like how it's all managed...

So, how many people noticed that this month was Women's History Month? It's nearly over now, and ...well...I didn't notice a difference. Well, let me explain what I mean...

Easter Sunday is now behind us, and we're probably trying to finish off those chocolate easter eggs that were bought. This year in the USA it's expected that people will spend over $95million on eggs alone. This is dispite the fact that energy costs are steadily increasing, and the price of the eggs have also increased more than expected. However, the Easter tradition in the USA and other Western countries is still going strong, and when the time comes the chocolate producing companies will probably report record breaking profits once again. My question is how much of the money makes its way back to the people who slave over the cocoa farms and their families and communities, slave being the opporative word. In this entry, part II of the Cocoa Revealed series, I would like to delve into the cocoa industry a bit, just to see exactly what is going on, and also to see how Fair Trade is helping...

If you're from the States and you know of Deal or No Deal, then you're probably looking at the picture on the top left and you're thinking "Who are the people at the back, and where are the scantily clad women?"
If you're from the UK then you are probably looking at the picture at the bottom right and you're thinking "Who's the knob bold guy with the suggestive hand gestures, and what's with the scantily clad women?"

Obama running in these elections seems to have opened up a whole can of worms on race and pride. The internet seems to be littered with discussions of Obama's viewpoints and links to Africa, and how that will have an affect on the US. My little run in with Mr Joe Blogs from New York White Pride has also brought a lot of traffic my way regarding the subject, and while doing a bit of searching ran into another blog entry entitled "Why is "White Pride" Considered Racist and Taboo?"...
