Don't ask, just enjoy. But if you are going to ask... ピタゴラスイチ (Pitagora Suitchi) or Pythagoras Switch, is a children's program aired on Japanese TV. It features Rube Goldberg machines, (more commonly known as Heath Robinson contraptions in the UK) which basically do simple tasks in a very roundabout way. In Japan those same machines are called Pythagorean devices, or Pythagoras Switch. The program features other sections like an "Algorythm" Dance and a few skits by animated characters too, which you can see on this Daily Motion video. I never saw the program while I was in Japan, but I did show short clips of it to my year 7 students (about 6th grade) during registration time, when I taught in a secondary school in London. They loved it and so did I. Who says the kids should get all the fun? For more info in it check out the Pythagoras Switch Wikipedia Entry.
